Coachella has grown exponentially in popularity since its launch in 1999, but it has outgrown its original branding in the process.

SOLUTION
A complete redesign and modernization of Coachella’s brand identity to reflect its youthful fanbase and iconic status.
LINEUP VIDEO
Coachella’s lineup reveal is highly anticipated by music lovers each year, so this video is meant to promote and amplify that reveal. This video correlates with the chosen theme, outer space.
3D/AR ASTRONAUT
This concept brings the Coachella astronaut to life in 3D space, and could be used in small scale augmented reality applications like filters on social media, or through large scale productions like holographic stage performances.
ZAPPAR APP
With the Zappar app, you can scan this code and gain access to the astronaut AR/3D filter.
BRANDING APPLICATIONS
Like many other experiences, people wish to purchase merchandise to have a physical memory of Coachella. Therefore, we made merch consistent with the new brand design.
DESIGN SYSTEM
This new and modernized design system is inspired by the mulitple larger-than-life astronaut installations that the festival has hosted.
